Abstract: The world culture is consist of diverse cultures. Different human races form different cultures; different cultures breed different paintings. The paper is to discuss that Chinese painting reflects the nature, the existing meaning and the internal developing rules of the world with distance, with overlook view of big culture and perspective view of small culture by methods of induction, analogy and analysis. I believe Chinese painting is a painting art which bears the brand of Chinese nation, expressed Chinese thoughts and cultural spirits, reflects developing Chinese culture. To study Chinese painting, we should cut into the spiritual kernel of Chinese culture itself and its influence on Chinese painting art. Innovation and development is top priority for artists. Great Chinese painting can only be bred by great Chinese culture. Chinese artists should, on the basis of cultural awakening and national identification, absorb traditions,  root in life, grasp values, concern humanism, keep distance and establish itself. That’s inevitable for the exploration and innovation of Chinese painting.
